Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications for JP Morgan Chase's financial platforms
• Lead the implementation of critical tech solutions across multiple technical areas in an agile team environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AWS services for cloud-native financial services
• Mentor and guide junior software engineers on best practices in software development and deployment
• Conduct code reviews, ensure code quality, and implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient releases
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments supporting banking operations
• Contribute to the architecture and optimization of systems handling high-volume financial transactions
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and apply them to enhance JP Morgan's digital banking solutions
• Ensure compliance with security standards and data privacy regulations in all developed solutions
• Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives within the team

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of professional software development experience with Java
• Proven experience in building and deploying applications on AWS cloud platform
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in agile teams
• Experience in financial services or fintech environments
• Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior engineers
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering high-impact solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS)
• Prior experience at a large-scale financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
