Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Java-based microservices on AWS to support JP Morgan's financial platforms
• Mentor and guide a team of software engineers, fostering best practices in code quality and innovation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, data scientists, and compliance officers to deliver secure financial solutions
• Architect scalable systems that handle high-volume transactions and ensure data integrity in a regulated environment
• Implement and optimize AWS infrastructure to reduce costs and improve performance for banking applications
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and integrate them into JP Morgan's tech stack to enhance client services
• Ensure all developments adhere to JP Morgan's security protocols and financial industry regulations
• Contribute to strategic planning for software engineering initiatives aligned with business goals

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of professional software development experience with Java
• Proven experience in leading engineering teams and projects in a financial services environment
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable, secure applications handling financial data
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with financial technologies such as payment processing or risk management systems
