Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-performance Java-based applications for global banking solutions
• Collaborate with agile teams to deliver critical tech solutions across multiple technical domains in the Global Banking Tech team
• Architect and optimize AWS infrastructure to support scalable, secure financial services platforms
• Develop and maintain SQL databases to handle complex data queries for transaction processing and analytics
• Mentor and guide junior software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and best practices
• Ensure compliance with financial industry standards, including data security and regulatory requirements
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting to maintain system reliability and performance
• Drive continuous improvement by integrating emerging technologies into existing banking workflows
• Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical implementations
• Contribute to the evolution of agile processes to enhance team productivity in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on Java development
• Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable applications using AWS cloud services
• Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases for data-intensive financial applications
• Experience working in agile methodologies within cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers
• Knowledge of financial services regulations and secure coding practices in banking environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in a cloud-native environment
