Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable Java-based applications in cloud environments to support JP Morgan's financial services platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to deliver critical tech solutions across multiple technical areas
• Lead code reviews, ensure code quality, and implement best practices for security and performance in financial systems
• Integrate cloud-native services to optimize transaction processing and data handling for banking operations
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation within the team
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production environments, minimizing downtime for mission-critical financial applications
• Contribute to architectural decisions, focusing on scalability, reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and apply them to enhance JP Morgan's tech infrastructure

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of professional software development experience with Java and related frameworks
• Proven experience in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in agile teams
• Experience in financial services or regulated industries with knowledge of compliance standards
• Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior engineers

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with JP Morgan's internal tools and financial technology stacks
