Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable Java-based backend services integrated with React frontends for trading and risk management applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to deliver critical tech solutions that enhance JP Morgan's global financial platforms
• Mentor and guide junior software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and best practices in software engineering
• Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to security standards, and optimize performance for high-volume financial transactions
• Integrate emerging technologies to improve efficiency in areas like real-time data processing and client-facing portals
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments, minimizing downtime for mission-critical systems
• Contribute to architectural decisions, including microservices migration and cloud-native implementations on AWS
• Partner with product owners and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives in capital markets
• Drive continuous improvement through agile methodologies, including sprint planning and retrospectives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with Java and React
• Proven track record in leading agile teams in financial services or high-stakes environments
• Strong understanding of full-stack development and microservices architecture
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure in a regulated industry
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and drive technical decisions
• Proficiency in secure coding practices compliant with financial regulations like GDPR and SOX

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a technical discipline
