Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of security services using Java and AWS to protect JP Morgan Chase's enterprise systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security features into financial applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and security
• Architect scalable solutions on AWS, leveraging services like EC2, Lambda, and IAM for robust security implementations
• Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities in enterprise systems through proactive threat modeling and penetration testing
• Drive innovation in security practices tailored to the financial services industry, including fraud detection and data encryption
• Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and resilience in a 24/7 banking environment
• Contribute to the development of internal tools and frameworks that enhance security across JP Morgan Chase's global operations
• Stay abreast of emerging security threats and technologies, recommending improvements to safeguard client assets
• Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies to deliver secure software solutions on time

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on Java development
• Proven experience leading engineering teams in building secure, scalable systems
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and infrastructure as code practices
• Experience implementing security protocols in financial services environments
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a regulated industry
• Familiarity with compliance standards such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, and SOX

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Prior work at a major financial institution on enterprise security projects
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or CISSP
• Background in agile methodologies and DevOps practices

• Expertise in Java programming and Spring Boot framework
• Proficiency in AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, and CloudWatch
