Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Java-based applications on AWS to support critical financial services operations
• Collaborate with agile teams to deliver scalable, secure tech solutions across multiple domains like payments, trading, and risk analysis
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering best practices in cloud-native development and code quality
• Optimize system performance and ensure high availability for mission-critical banking applications
• Integrate security protocols and compliance requirements specific to the financial industry, such as PCI-DSS and GDPR
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement robust testing strategies
• Drive innovation by exploring emerging AWS services to enhance efficiency in JP Morgan Chase's tech ecosystem
• Partner with product managers and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with Java development
• Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable applications on AWS cloud platforms
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers
• Experience in financial services or regulated industries with knowledge of compliance standards
• Proficiency in building secure, high-performance systems handling sensitive financial data
