Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable Java-based applications using Spark for data-intensive financial workloads
• Collaborate with agile teams to deliver innovative solutions that enhance JP Morgan's trading, risk management, and customer platforms
• Leverage AWS infrastructure to build secure, resilient cloud-native systems compliant with financial regulations
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and ensure best practices in software development lifecycle
• Optimize Spark jobs for performance in processing large-scale transaction data and analytics
• Integrate microservices architectures to support real-time financial decision-making
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on Java development
• Proven experience with Apache Spark for big data processing and analytics
• Hands-on expertise in AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and EMR
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience in cross-functional teams
• Experience in financial services or high-stakes environments handling sensitive data

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
