Key Responsibilities

• Design and build distributed enterprise systems that are resilient, fault-tolerant, and scalable to support JP Morgan Chase's global financial operations
• Lead a team of software engineers in developing and maintaining core banking platforms, ensuring high availability and performance
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and compliance teams to integrate AI/ML models into risk assessment and fraud detection systems
• Implement secure coding practices and conduct code reviews to mitigate cybersecurity risks in financial transactions
• Optimize system architecture for low-latency processing of high-volume trading data and real-time analytics
• Mentor junior engineers and drive adoption of best practices in software development lifecycle within the financial services domain
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production environments, minimizing downtime for critical banking services
• Contribute to innovation initiatives, such as blockchain integration for secure cross-border payments
• Ensure systems comply with industry regulations and internal JP Morgan Chase standards for data privacy and auditability

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in leading teams
• Proven experience in designing and implementing distributed systems in a financial services environment
• Strong understanding of resilience and fault-tolerance principles in enterprise-scale applications
• Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices in high-stakes financial projects
• Ability to obtain necessary security clearances for handling sensitive financial data
