Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust platform solutions using Java and AWS to support JP Morgan's financial services infrastructure
• Collaborate with agile teams to implement critical tech solutions across multiple technical domains, ensuring scalability and reliability
• Lead the migration and optimization of legacy systems to cloud-native architectures on AWS
• Implement security best practices and compliance measures for handling financial data in a regulated environment
• Mentor junior engineers and drive code reviews to uphold high standards of code quality
• Integrate platform components with core banking systems, enhancing operational efficiency
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production environments to minimize downtime
• Contribute to innovation initiatives, exploring emerging AWS technologies for financial applications
• Participate in sprint planning and retrospectives to continuously improve team processes
• Ensure all solutions adhere to JP Morgan's risk management and data governance policies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on platform engineering
• Proficiency in Java development and building scalable applications
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and ECS
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in financial services or high-stakes environments handling sensitive data
• Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams to deliver secure, compliant solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer certification
