Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of critical software solutions using Python, Java, and Scala in an agile environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure applications that support JP Morgan Chase's financial services platforms
• Architect and optimize cloud-based infrastructure on AWS to ensure high availability and performance for trading and risk systems
• Implement best practices for code quality, including unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code reviews
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments, minimizing downtime for mission-critical financial applications
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and integrate them to enhance efficiency in areas like data processing and security
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal security protocols specific to the banking sector
• Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and contribute to technical roadmaps for multiple projects

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on backend development
• Proficiency in Python, Java, and Scala, including building scalable applications
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement secure, high-performance systems in a financial services environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges

• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with trading systems or risk management platforms
