Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Python-based software solutions to automate risk assessment and monitoring processes
  • Lead the implementation of big data pipelines for processing large-scale financial datasets
  • Collaborate with risk, compliance, and business teams to ensure solutions meet regulatory requirements
  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycles, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance
  • Optimize and scale software systems to handle high-volume transactions in a secure environment
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote best practices in software engineering
  • Integrate solutions with JP Morgan Chase's foundational services infrastructure

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on Python development
  • Proven experience in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles and regulatory compliance in financial services

  • Experience in agile methodologies and software development lifecycle
