Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy critical technology solutions across multiple technical domains to support JP Morgan Chase's global financial operations
• Collaborate with agile teams to ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance in high-stakes trading and banking platforms
• Implement SRE best practices, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response for 24/7 financial services infrastructure
• Lead efforts to automate infrastructure and reduce toil, optimizing for cost-efficiency in cloud environments
• Conduct root cause analysis on production incidents and drive improvements to prevent recurrence in compliance-sensitive systems
• Mentor junior engineers on SRE principles and foster a culture of reliability within the team
• Integrate security and compliance measures into software engineering processes to meet regulatory requirements
• Monitor and optimize system performance metrics to support real-time financial transactions and data processing
• Participate in on-call rotations to maintain uptime for core banking applications
• Contribute to innovation initiatives, such as AI-driven reliability tools tailored to the financial sector

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
• Proven track record in building and maintaining high-availability systems in a financial services environment
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with agile methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration
• Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or Go
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards in banking, such as GDPR and SOX

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a technical discipline
• Experience in fintech or large-scale financial systems at a global bank
• Certification in SRE practices (e.g., Google SRE certification)
• Prior leadership role in engineering teams handling mission-critical applications
