Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy critical technology solutions using Java and Python to support JP Morgan Chase's financial platforms
• Collaborate with agile teams to implement SRE/DevOps practices, ensuring high availability and reliability of services
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and reduce deployment risks in a fast-paced financial environment
• Monitor and optimize system performance, troubleshooting issues in real-time to minimize downtime for trading and banking applications
• Implement infrastructure as code to manage cloud resources securely, adhering to JP Morgan's compliance and risk management standards
• Lead efforts in incident response and post-mortem analysis to improve system resilience and operational efficiency
• Mentor team members on best practices for scalable software engineering in the context of financial services
• Integrate security measures into DevOps workflows to protect sensitive customer data and ensure regulatory compliance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on SRE/DevOps practices
• Proficiency in Java and Python programming languages for building and maintaining scalable applications
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, particularly in financial services environments
• Demonstrated ability to work in agile teams, delivering critical tech solutions across multiple technical areas
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards relevant to the financial industry, such as PCI-DSS and GDPR

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a technical field
• Experience in the financial services sector, particularly with high-frequency trading or payment systems
