Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial reporting and controllership functions for designated legal entities within JP Morgan Chase's Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) in Brazil
  • Ensure accurate preparation and submission of regulatory financial statements in compliance with IFRS, BR-GAAP, and local regulatory requirements
  • Manage the consolidation of financial results for legal entities, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations
  • Conduct balance sheet reviews, variance analysis, and flux reporting to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Collaborate with global finance teams, business units, and external auditors to support audit processes and ensure SOX compliance
  • Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks and enhance operational efficiency
  • Monitor and report on key financial metrics, liquidity positions, and capital adequacy for Brazilian entities
  • Provide advisory support to senior management on financial strategy, entity structuring, and regulatory changes impacting CIB operations
  • Lead process improvements and automation initiatives for legal entity control activities using advanced financial tools
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax reporting and compliance with Brazilian fiscal authorities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA or Master's in Finance) preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, controllership, or accounting within the financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and local Brazilian GAAP (BR-GAAP) standards
  • Proven experience in legal entity control, consolidation, and regulatory reporting for multinational financial institutions
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification
  • Experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms
