Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial operations and reporting for designated legal entities within JP Morgan Chase's Corporate and Investment Banking division
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, management reports, and regulatory filings
  • Drive strategic initiatives to support business growth, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Collaborate with global finance teams to maintain compliance with internal controls and external regulations
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, implementing robust control frameworks
  • Lead a team of controllers, providing mentorship and fostering a high-performance culture
  • Support client satisfaction by delivering insightful financial analytics and advisory services
  • Monitor and optimize operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Participate in audits and respond to internal/external inquiries on financial matters

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA, CA, or equivalent certification required
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in financial controlling, preferably in banking or financial services
  • Proven track record in managing legal entity financial reporting and compliance in a multinational environment
  • Strong understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, and regulatory requirements for financial institutions
  • Experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Hyperion
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Finance) from a recognized institution
  • Prior experience at a global investment bank like JP Morgan Chase
  • Knowledge of Indian regulatory frameworks (RBI, SEBI) and international banking standards
  • Certification in risk management or internal audit (e.g., CIA, FRM)
