Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and support to JPMorgan Chase's business units in London, focusing on compliance with UK and EU financial regulations
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and legal documents for corporate transactions
  • Conduct legal research on emerging regulatory changes affecting banking, securities, and capital markets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance, risk management, and business leaders, to mitigate legal risks
  • Participate in internal training and development sessions as part of the ReEntry Program to rebuild legal expertise
  • Support litigation and dispute resolution matters, including preparing responses to regulatory inquiries
  • Contribute to policy development and implementation to ensure adherence to JPMorgan Chase's global standards
  • Mentor junior team members and engage in knowledge-sharing activities within the legal department
  • Monitor and report on legal issues impacting the firm's operations in the EMEA region

Required Qualifications

  • A law degree (LLB or JD) from an accredited institution and admission to the bar in a relevant jurisdiction
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional legal experience in financial services, corporate law, or regulatory compliance
  • Proven track record of career interruption (e.g., due to family commitments, personal reasons, or sabbatical) with a desire to relaunch in a legal role
  • Strong understanding of UK and EU financial regulations, including FCA and PRA requirements
  • Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom without sponsorship
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
