Key Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of corporate agreements, including vendor contracts, NDAs, and partnership deals
  • Conduct thorough legal research on regulatory issues impacting JP Morgan Chase's operations in India
  • Advise internal business teams on legal risks associated with financial products and services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with local and international laws
  • Prepare legal memos, opinions, and documentation for senior management
  • Monitor changes in Indian financial regulations and assess their impact on the firm
  • Support litigation and dispute resolution efforts as needed
  • Mentor junior legal staff and contribute to team knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • Assist in due diligence processes for mergers, acquisitions, or new market entries

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in India or relevant jurisdiction
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant legal experience in corporate law, preferably in financial services
  • Strong understanding of Indian contract law and regulatory frameworks
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and databases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Preferred Qualifications
