Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of assigned loans by monitoring payments, escrow accounts, and compliance with servicing agreements
  • Resolve customer inquiries and servicing issues related to loan modifications, payment disputes, and account adjustments
  • Process loan payments, payoffs, and releases of liens accurately and in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including underwriting and collections, to ensure seamless loan lifecycle management
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors in loan servicing operations
  • Maintain accurate records in JP Morgan Chase's core banking systems and prepare reports for regulatory audits
  • Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations, including RESPA, TILA, and CFPB guidelines
  • Assist in training junior associates and contributing to team knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • Monitor loan performance metrics and escalate high-risk accounts to senior management
  • Support special projects, such as system migrations or policy updates, in a dynamic lending environment

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field preferred
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in loan servicing, banking operations, or customer service within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of loan documentation, regulatory compliance, and servicing standards such as those from Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to handle sensitive customer information with strict confidentiality and adherence to data privacy regulations like GLBA
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with clients and internal teams
