Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local institutional clients in Mumbai and across India to drive sales of fixed income, FX, and derivatives products
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the local markets space, targeting corporates, financial institutions, and government entities
  • Collaborate with trading, research, and structuring teams at JP Morgan Chase to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs
  • Conduct market analysis and provide insights on local economic conditions to support sales strategies and client advisory
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets for revenue generation in fixed income and related products
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements from RBI, SEBI, and internal JP Morgan policies
  • Participate in client meetings, roadshows, and industry events to promote JP Morgan's market-leading capabilities
  • Monitor portfolio performance and provide ongoing support to clients to enhance satisfaction and retention
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategies for the APAC region, with a focus on Mumbai's local markets

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in financial markets sales, particularly in local markets, fixed income, or derivatives
  • Proven track record in client relationship management within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of Indian financial markets, regulatory environment, and local economic trends
  • Experience working with institutional clients such as banks, corporates, and hedge funds
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Hindi or other regional languages is advantageous

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA, FRM, or equivalent certification in finance
  • Prior experience at a bulge-bracket investment bank like JP Morgan Chase
  • Knowledge of JPMorgan's proprietary trading platforms and risk management tools
  • Demonstrated success in cross-selling complex financial products in emerging markets
