Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multiple software engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions for JP Morgan's financial services platforms
• Manage day-to-day implementation activities, including code reviews, testing, and deployment in agile sprints
• Set overall strategic guidance for team output, engineering practices, and cross-team collaboration to align with business objectives
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to define technical roadmaps for financial applications
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and risk management standards specific to the banking industry
• Drive innovation in software development processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
• Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and handle resource allocation for optimal project delivery
• Identify and mitigate technical risks in projects involving real-time data processing, trading, or customer-facing systems
• Facilitate communication between engineering teams and global JP Morgan business units to support strategic initiatives
• Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and professional development of software engineers in the Bengaluru technology hub

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role
• Proven track record of leading multiple engineering teams in delivering complex software solutions in the financial services sector
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC) in a regulated environment
• Experience managing day-to-day implementation activities and ensuring compliance with financial industry standards such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, and SOX
• Demonstrated ability to set strategic guidance for team practices, collaboration, and output in high-stakes financial projects
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with senior stakeholders in a global banking institution

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Java, Python, or similar programming languages with a focus on scalable financial applications
• Prior work at a major financial institution, ideally with exposure to trading systems, risk management, or core banking platforms
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or agile (e.g., Scrum Master)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure used in JP Morgan's infrastructure
• International experience managing diverse, cross-functional teams in a multicultural setting like Bengaluru

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Java, Python, or C++ for building robust financial software
• Expertise in agile and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing (AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture
• Experience with database management (SQL/NoSQL) for handling financial data
