Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multiple software engineering teams, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable software solutions for JP Morgan Chase's financial platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and compliance teams to define technical roadmaps that adhere to industry regulations and security standards
• Drive agile practices, including sprint planning, code reviews, and CI/CD pipeline optimization to accelerate delivery in a high-stakes financial environment
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, particularly those related to data security, cybersecurity threats, and financial data integrity
• Conduct performance evaluations, career development planning, and talent acquisition for engineering staff
• Champion the adoption of emerging technologies like cloud-native architectures and microservices to enhance JP Morgan's competitive edge in global banking
• Monitor and report on key metrics such as system uptime, code quality, and team productivity to senior leadership
• Facilitate cross-team knowledge sharing and resolve complex technical challenges in real-time trading or customer-facing applications
• Ensure all software solutions comply with JP Morgan's risk management frameworks and contribute to audit readiness

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role
• Proven track record of leading technical teams in the financial services industry, including experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., SEC, FINRA)
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and DevOps practices in a large-scale enterprise environment
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, particularly in secure financial applications
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior engineers while managing multiple projects
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders and compliance officers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing software for banking or capital markets at a major financial institution
• Certification in Java, Python, or cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
• Knowledge of financial technologies such as blockchain, AI/ML for fraud detection, or real-time payment systems
• Prior experience leading teams through digital transformation initiatives in fintech
• MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Business Administration
