Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor an agile team of software engineers focused on developing and maintaining data products for JP Morgan Chase's financial services platforms
• Manage day-to-day implementation activities, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery timelines
• Perform hands-on coding to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions
• Set overall technical guidance and architecture for data products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and compliance officers, to define requirements and resolve issues
• Drive innovation in data technologies to enhance risk management, trading analytics, and client reporting capabilities
• Monitor team performance, conduct code reviews, and implement best practices for secure and efficient software development
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring data products meet high availability and performance standards in a 24/7 financial environment
• Contribute to strategic planning for data initiatives, integrating AI/ML where applicable to support JP Morgan's digital transformation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role
• Proven track record of leading agile teams in delivering data products within the financial services sector
• Strong hands-on experience in coding and implementing data solutions using modern programming languages
• Deep understanding of data management, analytics, and compliance requirements in banking and finance
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP in a regulated financial environment
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders and risk management

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Data Science or related field
• Experience working at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
