Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multiple software engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions for JP Morgan Chase's financial platforms
• Manage day-to-day implementation activities, including code reviews, testing, and deployment in a fast-paced environment
• Set overall guidance for team output, engineering practices, and cross-team collaboration to align with business objectives
• Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and compliance teams to ensure solutions meet regulatory standards in the financial services industry
• Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, including CI/CD pipelines and DevOps for secure banking applications
• Identify and mitigate technical risks in projects involving trading systems, risk management, or customer data platforms
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within teams to enhance efficiency in financial operations
• Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and support career development for engineers in a global setting
• Oversee budgeting and resource allocation for engineering initiatives supporting JP Morgan's digital transformation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role
• Proven track record of leading multiple engineering teams in delivering complex software solutions in the financial services sector
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC) in a regulated environment
• Experience managing day-to-day implementation activities and ensuring compliance with financial regulations such as GDPR, SOX, and PCI-DSS
• Demonstrated ability to set strategic guidance for team practices, collaboration, and output in high-stakes financial projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Java, Python, or similar programming languages with a focus on scalable financial applications
• Prior work at a major financial institution, ideally with exposure to banking or investment services
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or agile (e.g., Scrum Master)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure in the context of secure financial data handling
