Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor multiple software engineering teams to design, develop, and deploy Java-based applications on AWS
  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to production deployment and maintenance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, data scientists, and compliance officers to align on financial technology initiatives
  • Drive adoption of best practices in code quality, CI/CD pipelines, and security protocols specific to financial systems
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring system reliability and performance in high-volume trading environments
  • Foster innovation by integrating emerging AWS technologies to optimize costs and enhance scalability for banking platforms
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide career development guidance, and build a high-performing engineering culture
  • Ensure compliance with JP Morgan's internal standards and industry regulations for data privacy and cybersecurity

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on Java development
  • Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams in an Agile environment
  • Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS
  • Experience in financial services or fintech, understanding regulatory requirements like GDPR and SOX
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Prior leadership in projects involving real-time financial data processing
