Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers in developing and maintaining next-generation platforms for JP Morgan Chase's financial services
• Set strategic direction for team output, engineering practices, and collaboration to ensure alignment with business goals
• Design and implement scalable Java-based applications in cloud environments, focusing on reliability and performance
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and prioritize features
• Mentor and coach team members on best practices in software engineering and agile methodologies
• Ensure compliance with financial industry standards, including data privacy and security protocols
• Drive innovation in platform capabilities to support trading, risk management, and client services
• Oversee code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to maintain high-quality deliverables
• Identify and mitigate technical risks in platform development
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 7+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on Java development
• 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams in agile environments
• Proven track record in cloud architecture and deployment, preferably AWS or Azure
• Strong understanding of financial services regulations and data security standards
• Experience with microservices and scalable platform development
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
