Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multiple software engineering teams in the development of Java full stack applications for JP Morgan's financial services platforms
• Oversee day-to-day implementation activities, ensuring high-quality code delivery and adherence to best practices
• Set strategic guidance for team output, including architecture decisions, coding standards, and collaboration protocols
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to define requirements for banking and investment solutions
• Drive agile methodologies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement in a financial context
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as GDPR, SOX, and financial industry security protocols
• Identify and mitigate technical risks in projects involving real-time data processing and transaction systems
• Foster a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing within teams to enhance JP Morgan's technological capabilities
• Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and support career development for engineers
• Contribute to the recruitment and onboarding of top talent for the Hyderabad engineering hub

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing engineering teams
• Proven expertise in Java full stack development, including Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and front-end technologies like React or Angular
• Experience leading agile teams in delivering complex financial applications, with knowledge of regulatory compliance in banking
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and microservices architecture
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and experience in stakeholder management within the financial services sector

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JP Morgan's internal tools and platforms, or similar large-scale financial systems
• Certifications in Java (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) or cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Developer)
• Background in developing secure, scalable solutions for trading, risk management, or payment systems
• Prior exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in a regulated industry
• MBA or advanced degree in finance or business administration
