Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing mentorship and fostering professional growth
• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications deployed on AWS infrastructure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, data scientists, and compliance officers to deliver innovative financial solutions
• Ensure software solutions adhere to JP Morgan Chase's security and regulatory standards in the financial services sector
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to accelerate development cycles for trading and risk management systems
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive technical excellence within the team
• Monitor system performance and scalability, leveraging AWS tools to support high-volume financial transactions
• Contribute to strategic planning for technology roadmaps aligned with JP Morgan's global banking initiatives
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and integrate them into financial applications to enhance efficiency
• Report on team progress and project metrics to senior leadership in Jersey City operations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java software development
• 3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS
• Strong understanding of financial services regulations and compliance standards such as GDPR and SOX
• Experience with agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience in developing applications for capital markets or risk management in banking
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Oracle Java Certification
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes
• Prior experience at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
