Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple software engineering teams, overseeing day-to-day implementation activities and ensuring alignment with project goals
• Set strategic guidance for team output, best practices, and collaboration to drive innovation in financial services solutions
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and business stakeholders to define technical roadmaps for banking applications
• Mentor and coach team members to foster skill development and high performance in a dynamic environment
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable software systems compliant with regulatory standards
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring secure and reliable financial technology platforms
• Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, to optimize team efficiency
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and methodologies within JP Morgan Chase's ecosystem
• Monitor project progress, resource allocation, and deliverables to meet deadlines in high-stakes financial projects
• Promote a culture of inclusion and diversity while aligning team efforts with firm-wide technology initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role
• Proven track record of leading multiple development teams in delivering complex software projects within the financial services sector
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience implementing them in fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Experience with risk management and compliance standards in banking and financial technology
• Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers while driving team performance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing or leading projects involving Java, Python, or cloud-native technologies like AWS or Azure
• Familiarity with financial data processing, trading systems, or regulatory reporting tools
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or agile practices (e.g., Scrum Master)
• Prior exposure to JP Morgan Chase's technology stack or similar enterprise financial platforms
• International experience managing distributed teams across time zones

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Java, Python, or C++ for backend development
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling for financial applications
