Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with middle market clients in the Grand Rapids area, providing tailored banking and financial solutions
  • Lead the origination and underwriting of new business opportunities, targeting companies with revenues between $50M and $500M
  • Manage a portfolio of existing client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including credit, treasury, and investment banking, to deliver integrated solutions
  • Identify market trends and competitive landscapes to drive revenue growth for Commercial Banking
  • Conduct financial analysis and risk assessments to support lending decisions and advisory services
  • Mentor and develop junior relationship managers to build a high-performing team
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and JP Morgan Chase policies in client interactions
  • Represent JP Morgan Chase at industry events and networking opportunities in Michigan

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial banking, with a focus on middle market clients
  • Proven track record in business development and portfolio management within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis, risk management, and regulatory compliance in banking
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive financial solutions
  • Ability to travel within the Grand Rapids, MI territory as needed
