Key Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end trade lifecycle for securities operations, including trade capture, confirmation, and settlement within the Buenos Aires Payment Utility
• Monitor and process high-volume payment instructions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal JP Morgan Chase policies and external regulations
• Collaborate with global markets teams to resolve trade discrepancies, exceptions, and operational risks in real-time
• Perform daily reconciliations of securities positions, cash flows, and payment utilities to maintain data integrity
• Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency in the payment utility workflow
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, such as trading desks and compliance teams, and external counterparties to facilitate seamless operations
• Ensure adherence to risk management protocols, including monitoring for settlement fails and escalating issues as needed
• Support audit and regulatory reporting requirements specific to markets securities operations
• Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning for the Buenos Aires operations hub
• Mentor junior associates and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in securities operations, trade lifecycle management, or payment processing within the financial services industry
• Strong understanding of global markets, securities settlement, and payment utilities such as SWIFT or CLS
• Proficiency in regulatory requirements for securities operations, including knowledge of Basel III, Dodd-Frank, or equivalent international standards
• Experience with trade confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation processes in a high-volume environment
• Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is highly advantageous for operations in Buenos Aires
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 global operations environment with flexible hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications such as CFA, FRM, or Series 7 equivalent
• Prior experience at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase in markets operations
• Knowledge of emerging technologies in payments, such as blockchain or real-time gross settlement systems
• Experience leading small teams or projects in securities operations
• Familiarity with Latin American financial markets and regulatory landscape
