As a North America Energy Scheduling Associate, you will be at the heart of our trading floor operations, responsible for scheduling and managing energy trades to ensure seamless execution and risk mitigation. You will work closely with traders and analysts to monitor market dynamics, nominate trades to pipelines and grids, and reconcile positions in real-time. This role demands a keen eye for detail and a solid grasp of North American energy regulations, such as those from FERC and ERCOT, while utilizing advanced trading platforms to support JP Morgan's commitment to operational excellence and client delivery. Key Responsibilities

• Execute and manage energy schedules for North American power and gas markets, ensuring timely and accurate trade execution
• Monitor real-time market conditions and adjust schedules to optimize trading positions and mitigate risks
• Collaborate with traders, analysts, and operations teams to support deal capture and settlement processes
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and JP Morgan Chase's risk management policies
• Analyze scheduling data to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
• Handle trade confirmations, nominations, and reconciliations with counterparties and pipelines
• Support the development of new trading strategies by providing scheduling insights and operational support
• Maintain accurate records in trading systems and generate reports for senior management
• Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance the energy trading platform and infrastructure

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in energy trading, scheduling, or related operations within the financial services or energy sector
• Strong understanding of North American energy markets, including power, natural gas, and renewables
• Proficiency in trade capture, risk management, and compliance processes
• Experience with energy trading platforms and scheduling software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume trading environment
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MBA or Master's) in Finance or Energy Management
• Prior experience at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as FERC, NERC, and ERCOT market rules
• Familiarity with derivatives trading and hedging strategies in energy commodities
• Certifications such as CFA or Energy Risk Professional (ERP)
