Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage energy schedules for North American power and gas markets, ensuring timely and accurate trade execution
  • Monitor real-time market conditions and adjust schedules to optimize trading positions and mitigate risks
  • Collaborate with traders, analysts, and operations teams to support deal capture and settlement processes
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and JP Morgan Chase's risk management policies
  • Analyze scheduling data to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
  • Handle trade confirmations, nominations, and reconciliations with counterparties and pipelines
  • Support the development of new trading strategies by providing scheduling insights and operational support
  • Maintain accurate records in trading systems and generate reports for senior management
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance the energy trading platform and infrastructure

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in energy trading, scheduling, or related operations within the financial services or energy sector
  • Strong understanding of North American energy markets, including power, natural gas, and renewables
  • Proficiency in trade capture, risk management, and compliance processes
  • Experience with energy trading platforms and scheduling software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume trading environment
  • U.S. work authorization without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's) in Finance or Energy Management
  • Prior experience at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
