Key Responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile daily settlement transactions for various financial instruments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Monitor and resolve settlement discrepancies, collaborating with internal teams and external counterparties
  • Utilize J.P. Morgan's proprietary systems to track payment lifecycles from initiation to completion
  • Conduct quality checks on transaction data to comply with regulatory standards and internal policies
  • Analyze settlement reports to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvements
  • Liaise with global teams to support cross-border payment settlements in multiple currencies
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes in line with J.P. Morgan's compliance framework
  • Contribute to the implementation of new settlement procedures and system enhancements
  • Assist in training junior team members on settlement best practices
  • Respond to ad-hoc queries from clients and stakeholders regarding transaction status

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in financial operations, settlements, or payments processing
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and transaction settlement processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis
  • Excellent command of English and Spanish, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the financial services industry

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SWIFT messaging and payment systems
  • Familiarity with J.P. Morgan's internal systems or similar banking platforms
  • Certification in financial operations, such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP)
