Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and originate new asset-based lending opportunities within JP Morgan Chase's Commercial Banking client portfolio
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on client financials, collateral assets, and industry risks to structure tailored lending solutions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with middle-market clients to understand their financing needs and provide comprehensive banking solutions
  • Collaborate with credit risk, legal, and syndication teams to underwrite and approve asset-based facilities
  • Monitor portfolio performance, including borrowing base certifications and covenant compliance
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to expand JP Morgan Chase's asset-based lending market share in the New York region
  • Provide market insights and advisory services to clients on asset-based financing trends and alternatives
  • Prepare and present deal proposals to senior management and clients, highlighting risk-return profiles
  • Ensure all lending activities comply with JP Morgan Chase's internal policies and regulatory standards
  • Mentor junior team members on asset-based lending best practices and client engagement

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in asset-based lending, commercial lending, or related financial services roles
  • Proven track record in originating and structuring asset-based lending deals for middle-market clients
  • Strong understanding of collateral valuation, borrowing base calculations, and risk assessment in asset-based facilities
  • Experience working with Commercial Banking clients in industries such as manufacturing, retail, or wholesale
  • Series 7 and/or Series 63 licenses preferred, or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for client meetings and site visits

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance
  • Prior experience at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as Dodd-Frank and Basel III in lending practices
  • Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, for diverse client base in New York
  • Experience with syndicated lending or capital markets integration
