Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models to optimize payment processing workflows and enhance transaction efficiency at JP Morgan Chase
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to identify AI-driven opportunities in the payments domain
• Build and maintain scalable ML pipelines for handling large-scale financial datasets, ensuring model accuracy and performance
• Apply predictive analytics to detect anomalies in payment transactions, reducing fraud and improving risk management
• Integrate AI solutions with existing JP Morgan systems, such as core banking platforms and real-time payment networks
• Conduct experiments and A/B testing to validate ML models in production environments
• Stay abreast of emerging AI technologies and financial regulations to innovate within the banking industry
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the firm's AI/ML best practices and knowledge sharing
• Ensure ethical AI practices, including bias mitigation and explainability in models impacting financial decisions
• Document technical specifications and present findings to senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
• 3+ years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering, with a focus on applied machine learning in production environments
• Proficiency in Python and at least one deep learning framework such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning techniques
• Experience with data processing pipelines, feature engineering, and model deployment in cloud environments like AWS or Azure
• Knowledge of financial services domain, particularly payments processing, fraud detection, or transaction analytics
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field with research publications in AI/ML
• Experience in building AI solutions for real-time payment systems or blockchain technologies
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance in financial services, such as PCI-DSS or GDPR
