Key Responsibilities

  • Process and validate incoming payment instructions for domestic and international transactions in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Monitor and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of payment operations, including initiation, confirmation, and settlement
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies or exceptions in payment files to ensure timely execution
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as compliance, risk, and technology to enhance operational efficiency
  • Perform daily reconciliations of payment accounts and report on key performance metrics
  • Support the implementation of new payment products and process improvements within the Mexico operations hub
  • Ensure adherence to anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) protocols in all transactions
  • Analyze operational data to detect trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation
  • Assist in audits and provide documentation for regulatory reporting requirements
  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing and training on payments best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in payments processing, operations, or financial services
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Mexican financial regulations and payment systems such as SPEI and STP
  • Familiarity with core banking systems and transaction processing workflows
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of risk management and compliance in payments operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with JP Morgan Chase internal systems or similar global banking platforms
  • Certification in payments processing (e.g., AAP or equivalent)
  • Prior exposure to lifecycle operations in cross-border payments
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
