Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect new business opportunities within the Technology Segment, targeting innovative companies in Palo Alto and surrounding areas
  • Build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and decision-makers in tech firms to understand their payment needs
  • Develop customized sales strategies and proposals for merchant services, including payment gateways, fraud prevention, and treasury solutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams at JP Morgan Chase, such as product, risk, and legal, to deliver integrated financial solutions
  • Drive revenue growth by negotiating contracts, closing deals, and expanding existing client relationships
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence on emerging tech trends impacting payments
  • Represent JP Morgan Chase at industry conferences, tech meetups, and networking events in the Bay Area
  • Track and report on sales pipeline, KPIs, and business development metrics using CRM tools
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements in merchant acquiring and payment processing
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of sales playbooks for the tech vertical

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within the financial services or payments industry
  • Proven track record of generating new business and closing deals with technology sector clients
  • Deep understanding of merchant services, payment processing, and fintech solutions
  • Strong knowledge of the technology industry landscape, including SaaS, hardware, and software companies
  • Ability to travel up to 50% for client meetings and industry events
  • Series 7 or equivalent licensing preferred, or willingness to obtain

  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Business Administration
