Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect end-to-end solutions for commercial card issuing platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with financial regulations
  • Lead the development of fraud detection architectures, integrating advanced analytics and machine learning to mitigate risks in real-time transactions
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and deliver innovative technologies that enhance client experiences
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to optimize performance and reduce costs in the Commercial & Investment Bank division
  • Ensure architectural alignment with JP Morgan Chase's enterprise standards, including cloud-native designs on AWS or hybrid environments
  • Mentor junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing
  • Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and proof-of-concepts for new initiatives in card issuing and fraud domains
  • Drive integration of third-party solutions with internal systems to support seamless commercial banking operations
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, focusing on high availability and low latency for global transaction processing
  • Contribute to firm-wide architecture governance, participating in committees to shape technology strategy

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 5 years in financial services or fintech
  • Proven track record in designing scalable systems for commercial banking, card issuing, or fraud detection
  • Deep expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in agile environments within large-scale financial institutions
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in financial services (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, SOX)
