Key Responsibilities

  • Support the EMEA Firmwide Privacy Office in developing and implementing privacy policies aligned with global and regional regulations
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) for new products, services, and data processing activities within JP Morgan Chase's financial operations
  • Advise business units on compliance with GDPR, UK GDPR, and other EMEA privacy laws, mitigating risks in client data management
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and technology teams to ensure privacy by design in financial systems and processes
  • Monitor regulatory changes and update internal privacy training programs for JP Morgan employees in EMEA
  • Handle privacy incident response, including investigations and reporting to regulatory authorities as required
  • Assist in vendor assessments and data transfer agreements to safeguard sensitive financial information
  • Contribute to firmwide privacy reporting and metrics for senior management review
  • Promote a culture of privacy awareness across JP Morgan's EMEA operations through education and guidance

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in privacy, data protection, or compliance roles within the financial services sector
  • Strong understanding of EMEA privacy regulations including GDPR, UK GDPR, and relevant financial services privacy laws
  • Proficiency in data privacy principles, risk assessment, and compliance frameworks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment
  • Professional certification such as CIPP/E or equivalent privacy qualification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree or certification in data privacy or cybersecurity
  • Experience in a multinational financial institution, preferably in EMEA operations
  • Knowledge of JP Morgan Chase's internal privacy policies and procedures
  • Familiarity with financial data handling and regulatory reporting in banking
