Key Responsibilities

  • Validate daily and monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) attributions for CIO investment portfolios, ensuring accuracy and reconciliation with front-office systems
  • Perform independent risk assessments and stress testing on investment positions held under the Chief Investment Office
  • Analyze variances in P&L and risk metrics, investigating discrepancies and providing explanatory reports to senior management
  • Collaborate with trading, risk management, and finance teams to enhance control processes and mitigate operational risks
  • Support regulatory reporting and compliance requirements for CIO investments, including preparation of financial statements
  • Develop and maintain automated tools for P&L and risk validation using Excel, VBA, or Python
  • Monitor market data feeds and ensure data integrity for investment valuations
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects, such as new product implementations or process improvements within Product Control
  • Assist in the preparation of management reporting and presentations for CIO leadership
  • Ensure adherence to JPMorgan Chase's risk management policies and internal controls

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in product control, financial reporting, or a related role within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments, including fixed income, equities, derivatives, and alternative investments
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and P&L validation techniques
