Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support to trading desks by validating and explaining profit & loss (P&L) attributions
  • Ensure accurate balance sheet reporting and reconciliation for trading portfolios
  • Oversee month-end close procedures, including variance analysis and financial statement preparation
  • Collaborate with front-office traders, risk management, and finance teams to resolve discrepancies
  • Develop and implement controls to mitigate financial reporting risks
  • Analyze trading activities to support business decisions and regulatory reporting
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to process improvements in product control
  • Monitor and report on key financial metrics for senior management
  • Ensure compliance with JP Morgan Chase's internal policies and external regulations
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects related to new product launches or system enhancements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in product control, financial reporting, or a similar role within investment banking or financial services
  • Strong understanding of financial products, including derivatives, fixed income, and equities
  • Proficiency in financial regulations and compliance standards relevant to global banking
  • Experience with month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliation
  • CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification
  • Fluency in English and Spanish

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Finance)
  • Prior experience at a major investment bank like JP Morgan Chase
