Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and analysis of financial reports for the Home Lending portfolio, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards
  • Uncover actionable insights from loan portfolio data to support strategic decision-making and risk management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including risk management and business leaders, to enhance reporting processes
  • Monitor key performance metrics for home lending products and identify trends or anomalies
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Develop and implement process improvements to streamline controller functions and increase efficiency
  • Ensure adherence to JP Morgan Chase's internal controls and audit requirements
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to talent development within the Controller team
  • Assist in forecasting and budgeting for home lending operations
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and integrate changes into reporting frameworks

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or controller roles within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of loan portfolio management and home lending products
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Experience with data analytics tools and financial modeling
  • CPA or equivalent certification (or in progress)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Finance)
