Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and validation of daily P&L reports for assigned product lines
  • Support risk reporting activities, including variance analysis and attribution
  • Contribute to the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data
  • Collaborate with front-office trading teams to reconcile positions and exposures
  • Perform independent price verification and challenge trading desk valuations
  • Identify and escalate control issues or discrepancies in financial reporting
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of control frameworks for product control
  • Support ad-hoc projects related to regulatory reporting and process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations such as IFRS or GAAP
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial controlling, product control, or a similar role within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of financial products such as derivatives, fixed income, or equities
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and P&L analysis
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in banking and financial markets
  • Experience with month-end close processes in a corporate finance environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Finance) or professional certification (CPA, CFA, or ACA)
