Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations for Chase Auto loan and lease portfolios, ensuring accurate booking and reconciliation of transactions
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and regulatory submissions
  • Maintain a robust control environment by performing risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including treasury, risk management, and operations to support auto finance initiatives
  • Conduct variance analysis on financial metrics and investigate discrepancies in auto lending data
  • Support audit processes by providing documentation and responding to internal and external auditor inquiries
  • Develop and enhance automated reporting tools to improve efficiency in controllership functions
  • Monitor compliance with federal regulations such as Dodd-Frank and ensure adherence to JP Morgan Chase's risk framework
  • Mentor junior associates and contribute to team development in the Chase Auto Controllers group
  • Assist in forecasting and budgeting for auto loan and lease products

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or controllership within the financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements for consumer lending products
  • Proficiency in financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms
  • Experience with auto loan and lease accounting principles and controls
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and identify control deficiencies
  • CPA certification or equivalent professional qualification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Accounting)
