Required Qualifications

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the New York State Bar (or eligibility for admission)
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant legal experience in public finance, municipal securities, or related areas within a law firm, financial institution, or government entity
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state securities laws, including the Securities Act of 1933, the Exchange Act of 1934, and MSRB regulations
  • Proven track record of structuring and negotiating complex public finance transactions, such as municipal bonds, tax-exempt financings, and derivatives
  • Strong understanding of tax-exempt financing structures, including IRS regulations under Section 103 and 141 of the Internal Revenue Code
