Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of PySpark-based applications on AWS infrastructure as the application owner
• Collaborate with agile teams to deliver critical tech solutions that support JP Morgan Chase's financial services operations
• Own the full lifecycle of applications, from requirements gathering to production support and optimization
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for processing large-scale financial datasets
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, security standards, and best practices in banking technology
• Mentor and guide junior software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in distributed systems, minimizing downtime for mission-critical applications
• Integrate AWS services like EMR, S3, and Lambda to enhance application performance and cost-efficiency
• Conduct code reviews, implement CI/CD pipelines, and drive adoption of modern DevOps practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on big data technologies
• Proven expertise in PySpark and AWS cloud services, including hands-on experience leading development projects
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to own and deliver end-to-end technical solutions in a financial services environment
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and scalable application architecture
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges under tight deadlines
