Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of PySpark-based data processing solutions on AWS infrastructure
• Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to deliver critical technology solutions for financial services applications
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality, scalable code
• Optimize data workflows for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability in a cloud environment
• Integrate security best practices and ensure compliance with JPMorgan Chase's regulatory requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments
• Drive innovation by exploring emerging AWS technologies to enhance data analytics capabilities
• Contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives in an agile framework
• Document technical architectures and processes for knowledge sharing across the team

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on big data technologies
• Proficiency in PySpark and AWS services including EMR, S3, and Lambda
• Strong experience in agile methodologies and leading technical teams
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deploy scalable data processing solutions in a financial services environment
• Knowledge of data security and compliance standards relevant to banking (e.g., GDPR, SOX)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a technical discipline
• Experience with financial data pipelines and risk management systems at a major bank
• Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) or Apache Spark
• Prior leadership role in a PySpark-based project within the fintech sector
