Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and optimization of PySpark-based data pipelines on AWS infrastructure
• Collaborate with agile teams to deliver critical tech solutions for financial analytics and reporting
• Design scalable, secure architectures handling sensitive financial data in compliance with industry regulations
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Integrate AWS services like EMR, Glue, and Redshift to enhance data processing efficiency
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production environments for real-time financial applications
• Drive innovation in big data technologies to support JP Morgan Chase's global trading and risk platforms
• Participate in sprint planning and retrospectives to continuously improve team performance

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on big data technologies
• Proficiency in PySpark and AWS services including EMR, S3, and Lambda
• Strong experience in agile methodologies and leading cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable data solutions in a financial services environment
• Knowledge of financial regulations such as GDPR, SOX, and data privacy standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant technical field
