Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of AI/ML models using Python to support financial products across JP Morgan's lines of business, including investment banking and consumer banking
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and stakeholders to define requirements for AI-driven solutions that enhance risk assessment and customer personalization
• Deploy and maintain scalable AI/ML pipelines in cloud environments, ensuring high availability and performance in a regulated financial services context
• Mentor and guide a team of Python engineers, fostering best practices in code quality, testing, and DevOps for AI applications
• Integrate AI/ML models with JP Morgan's core banking systems, adhering to data privacy standards like GDPR and SEC regulations
• Conduct code reviews, optimize algorithms for efficiency, and troubleshoot production issues in real-time trading or fraud detection systems
• Stay abreast of emerging AI technologies and evaluate their applicability to financial services innovations at JP Morgan
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from prototyping to monitoring post-deployment performance metrics
• Ensure ethical AI practices, mitigating biases in models used for credit scoring or market predictions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering with a focus on Python development
• Proven track record in designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML solutions in a production environment
• Strong understanding of financial services domain, including regulatory compliance and risk management
• Experience with scalable AI/ML frameworks and tools in a large enterprise setting
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers
• U.S. work authorization required; willingness to work in Jersey City, NJ

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science

• Familiarity with SQL, NoSQL databases, and ETL processes in a financial data environment
• Skills in version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Ability to work with APIs and microservices architecture for integrating AI into banking applications
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for optimizing AI models in high-stakes financial scenarios
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-team leadership
• Knowledge of financial regulations (e.g., SOX, Basel III) impacting AI implementations
• Experience with model monitoring tools like MLflow or Kubeflow
