Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine quantitative models and algorithms to generate trade ideas in FICC products, focusing on derivatives and fixed income
  • Analyze franchise data to identify market opportunities, pricing inefficiencies, and risk exposures for sales teams
  • Collaborate with sales and trading desks to promote data-driven insights and algorithmic strategies to institutional clients
  • Leverage advanced analytics techniques, including machine learning and statistical modeling, to enhance trade execution and client advisory
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics for FICC franchise activities, providing actionable recommendations to senior management
  • Conduct ad-hoc quantitative research to support new product development and market expansion initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with internal risk management policies and regulatory standards in all analytical outputs
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the continuous improvement of JP Morgan's analytics infrastructure
  • Present complex quantitative findings in clear, client-facing formats to drive business growth

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree (Master's or PhD) strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in quantitative research, data analytics, or sales support within FICC (Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities) markets
  • Deep expertise in derivatives pricing, modeling, and risk management, including interest rate swaps, options, and structured products
  • Proven track record in developing and promoting algorithmic trade ideas using data-driven insights
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or C++ for financial data analysis and algorithm development
  • Experience working in a high-stakes financial services environment, preferably at a major investment bank
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with sales teams, traders, and clients

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in a quantitative discipline with a focus on financial engineering or econometrics
  • Prior experience at JP Morgan Chase or a similar bulge-bracket firm in franchise analytics or market-making
